-HBFT Partnership Team
The purpose of the fidelity program is to examine how consistently clinicians are following the concepts learned in the HBFT Core Training and how the use of these concepts impacts their professional quality of life and therapeutic relationship with clients.
As of November 1st, 2014, the Kansas Department of Aging and Disabilities Services (KDADS) introduced a new policy stating that home-based family therapy providers who currently bill the 90847-HK in-home family therapy code are required to show fidelity to the HBFT in-home family therapy model to continue billing the code.
Those who are participating in the fidelity project are required to take the HBFT Core Training for Medicaid Providers. Those who have taken the training in previous years do not need to retake the training. Likewise, those who have taken a KHS approved HBFT training will need to provide a copy of certification to the HBFT Partnership. The HBFT Partnership will add all KHS alternative trainings and add licensed practitioners to the approved list.
